Chapter 4

1. "Wise College Students are curious always seeking new information..."

I agree with this because I'm always looking for ways to learn new information or answers to questions I do not have. This quote resembles me because in College you want to be the best that you can be. I want to be something different than my classmates and stand out. By seeking out information I'm becoming a better learner and person.

2. "Do you feel as if you have absorbed a lot of knowledge and information about obscure topics and still aren't sure of their value?"

I learn new things in classes that I take and still are unsure of their value. Second I wonder to myself at times will this help me in the future? I take the time out and dedicate myself to a subject or craft then wonder their value. I take history courses and still haven't seen the purpose of the class.

3. "Your major is not your end goal; it's a series of classes that will help you accomplish your goal."

This is helpful because I always wonder why am I taking this or that class and this quote sums it all up to me. Second the classes that I'm taking must be important for the future because if they weren't then they wouldn't be labeled as a requirement. The classes that I take are helpful and help me with my dream job and goal. My major is just a job title that has classes in them to accomplish the goal. This quote can not only help me out now, but in the near future as well.

Chapter 3 questions and reactions

1. "Our society sends mixed messates about being smart."

This quote relates to me because I feel the same way. Sometimes it feels as if i'm the only person that feels a certain way until I read this quote. There's always someone out there trying to tell you what to do or what's being smart. Most people think just because they have a college degree that they can tell anyone what to do.

2."The Students who are serious and thoughtful never seem to be the cool or popular ones."

I agree with this quote because that's how the environment of School is. Most people want to associate with people with the best personality as opposed to the best grades. The popular ones tend to get bad grades while the non popular kids succeed in life. This quote is a reality in every school in America.

3."Good thinking will help change how you interpret a situation".

Chapter 2, 3 quotes and paragraph

1."When you think about the future, do you sometimes feel overwhelmed?, clueless?, stuck?"

This quote resonate to me because when I think of my future I think about those three things. Second the future seems so far away that I'm clueless as to what the future holds. I get stuck thinking about the future because I want to think about the present first. I want to focus on now as opposed to 5 to 10 years from now.

2."What if there was a simple way to help you identify what makes you special and interesting to employers?"

This question is significant to my future because I want a resolution that can help me out with my future. Second I'd love to have a simple way to help identify myself to employers. This would help out my employment a tremendous amount. I also would like a simple way to help identify me and strengths and what makes me special to get jobs.

3."Have you ever noticed that the knowledge you acquire in one area of your life can be applied to a completely different setting?"

This quote relates to me alot because I've always learn one thing in a school subject that helps me out in another one. Second this question is helpful because in life it's important to learn as much as you can. I usually recognize one thing that helps me out later in life from school. Most of the time I wonder why do I have to learn about history?, but then I realize that it affects my everyday life.
